This week felt like spring. So much more so than the February fake-out we usually have in the Pacific Northwest. As usual, we had a few days of delicious sunshine and warm temperatures. What made it feel more springlike was the fog, heavy rain, and gusty wind thrown into the mix. True spring in the Pacific Northwest. Now we're back to the constant flat grey skies and cooler temperatures of February, and I don't expect to see much of a change for at least a few weeks. Thankfully my office has lots of windows, so I was able to soak up the sunshine while it lasted!
As usual, Andy and I had a low-key Valentines Day. In the morning, we met up with a few friends in Seattle for pastries, then a good long browse at Elliot Bay Books, followed by brunch. We ended the day at home with some Mexican hot chocolate and Netflix - finally starting Jane the Virgin! After many months, I also finally got the yarn for Andy's hat. The colors he chose are absolutely gorgeous, and it seems like I'll have a whole skein of that beautiful blue left over, so I'll have to come up with something special to use it for.
